Monique Rodrigue –
I love this doll. It much more accurately portrays what a young female looks like. I suggest no make -up .Instead, create a line of make-up for her that little girls can apply and remove as they wish. Love the idea of scars, pimples, etc. I LOVE the normal size of her hands and feet. Great looking doll. Also, need to make patterns of her clothes for slightly older girls to have the fun of learning to sew.
Mango The Great –
I really love my Lammily doll. Her hair is so soft and I love the highlights – it looks much more natural than the unnaturally light bleached-blonde color that Barbie has. The top is very cute, I love the attention to detail with the metal buttons. (Maybe the buttons are plastic that looks like metal? Not sure.) Her shorts feel like real denim fabric, and it has pockets that actually work! It looks like something a real person would wear – nobody goes around running errands in a sparkly princess dress. The shoes are adorable. I like that they’re tennis shoes instead of heels – once again, more functional. However, they are hard to get on and off. I like that this doll isn’t wearing brightly-colored makeup, its, once again, more realistic. I would, however, take care when moving the wrist and ankle joints, because when you pull on them weird, they pop out of place and you have to pop them back in. This isn’t really much of a problem to me, though. Overall, Lammily is a great doll! I would recommend her to my friends.
Becky Shier –
great idea.
lynette –
my granddaughter played with her and with her barbies. she kept going to this doll. myself I thought the hands and feet were just a bit too big..love the idea of this doll..

Lammily is SO AWESOME!!!! Both my sister and I have one, they are super durable and high quality! They are easy to make clothes for and we are even building them a house. We can’t wait to get boy lammily! My Lammily is named Emilee and she loves orcas, snorkelling, surfing, old fashioned airplanes, blue, sewing and painting! My sisters Lammily is named Afton after an awesome volunteer at Big Cat Rescue. She loves Big cats, photography, snorkelling, guitar and hiking! We also bought photographer lammily and named her Michelle, after Michelle Obama! She loves conservation, forestry, cooking, italian coffee and gardening! When our boy lammily arrives (which we are SUPER excited about) his name will be Jacques after Jacques Cousteau! He loves offshore sailing, exploring, adventures, land rovers and snorkelling! Jacques is going to 21 years old, and is the older brother of Emilee (16) and Afton (14). Michelle is Jacques best friend, the met in the conservation subject at Stanford University, they may or may not be dating… nobody knows! Lammily is an amazing doll, by far the best doll brand ever!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
Sandy –
My doll arrived today well packaged. She is a beautiful doll, representative of a wholesome fresh faced teenage girl with body proportions that promote a healthy body image. Kudos to your production of such an inspiring doll.
davonna –

Wow I would really want a doll that looks like me from lammily
JOHNNY CLARKE –
I received my Lammily yesterday (29/05/16) and she’s everything I expected, a really well crafted, beautiful doll. Her ‘solid’ construction, with a good weight, makes her feel like a doll of much, much higher value, in fact I really am gobsmacked at her price, she is excellent value for money without a shadow of a doubt, very hard to beat. Her ‘click’ elbows and knee’s are again of quality and feel like they will withstand plenty of ‘clicks’ during play or posing of her. Her overall shape is great, making her look and feel like a real mini human ! She is enchanting and I hope more and more people will become aware of her. The packaging is excellent, and exciting to open, with her little leaflet of her travels, it adds to her realism and personality. My only negative would be the hair sewn to the plastic strip, which was easy enough to remove, but reminded me of ‘tackier’ cheaper dolls. A simple clear plastic strip around the head to hold the hair down, would have been much classier ,and ‘kinder’ to the hair. As I am a collector…and believe me, Lammily is going to take some beating now, and I have a feeling she will be at the top of my Favorites for a long time, so that being said, I would LOVE plenty of clothes patterns for her. She has a great figure and I think it deserves showing off in sheath dresses, all in one swimming costumes, stretchy gym and yoga wear, ballgowns etc. I plan to build a wardrobe of classics for my Lammily, which I have named ‘Cabbage’…Prince Phillips nickname for The Queen. I want to make her things like a classic navy blazer with brass buttons, white pleated skirt, Little Black Dress, Twin set etc. With emphasis on lovely detail and tailoring, she deserves it, she’s such a beautiful doll, well done you guys.
Tomas –
SUMMARY: Perfect doll, except that the fasten interface/mechanism for the feet needs improvement.
PLUS: The doll has human proportions and feels like a human, and not as a stick. I think this will be educational for my sun because he will have a better understanding of human anatomy. I think it will be easier for a child to view the doll as a real person if it is real-like, and it will be better for developing empathy. To undress and undress a doll, will hopefully improve the capability to to undress and dress oneself. The doll is beautiful and realistic, and the extraterrestial-like dolls elsewere can never compete with this doll.
MINUS: I have not managed to make the doll stand on its feet. The feet of the doll can in theory be pivoted, but they are attached to the leg in a very flexible manner, so the pivoting function is hard and imprecise to use. The foot have a plastic peg/stick that is stuck into a hole into the leg/ankle. The structure around the hole is like soft rubber, without any firm structure that will support the peg/foot.
The feet can be swirled around 360°, so they for example can point backwards.
LAMILY LOVER –
I love it but what about blondes and strawberry blond and black hair also I’m having a swimming pizza party in june so I need you guys to make a swimsuit, towel, beach bag, swim cover, and googles
Lamely Collecter –
Great doll! Be careful when taking her hair out of the package though. I am very surprised at the quality of her clothes! She is a great doll, a little stiff, but that’s ok. I am looking to purchase outfits and I am glad her price is the same as most fashion dolls. I thought the high quality would make her way more expensive!
lamily lover –

Lammily –
Hi Hannah, We see adults and men collect and play with dolls, it’s all good!
Hannah –
I found this doll through Buzzfeed and I really really wanted her for myself. My birthday is in August and as my parents constantly ask me for my birthday wishes, I am about to say that I want this doll, but I am a little bothered by the fact that it will be my 17th birthday and this wish may come off weird. I’m really into dolls anyway, not for the sake of playing with them but more with the artistic way of customizing them, and this doll is just absolutely beautiful as a blank canvas, so to speak. I just love how she represents an average girl, I wish I would have grown up with something like this because my body image usually is very negative. I hope this doll lets children grow up with a positive image of themselves and everyone else, so there will be less hate and stupid body standards on this planet. Still, is it weird for a sixteen-year-old girl to be into dolls and do parents bother? I’d be really grateful for advice from parents. I know that a lot of people collect dolls but I don’t know, I don’t like showing them off in closed cupboards or something, I just like to make them more beautiful, paint on their faces and customize their hair. Is that weird? Would parents mind?
Sheryl –
I’ve been following this doll from the beginning. I donated a total of $100 to help make the first batch of dolls. I’m EXTREMELY proud to be a part of something I think is spectacular. I wish to express my gratitude to the original designers for finally making a “real” doll.
Heather Fitzgerald –
This is an absolutely fantastic idea. Thankyou for allowing children to be themselves and know that they are OK. I knew a “barbie” lookalike once. She fell over – really.
anna –
there amazing!!!! i whould loveeee one!!!
Kaya –
I just got her and she is beyond can not wait till the future dolls
Jane –
I got my doll early last year. Really pleased. A friend had sent me a review and I was bowled over. Love the outfit she came in too.
Jenni –
My 4 year old daughter and I really like the doll. She’s cute, her hair is super soft (the first thing my daughter mentioned) and she’s relatable. My daughter was showing interest in the typical age-old fashion dolls at the stores recently, so I was happy to find her a doll that is more realistic and much less focused on fashion, materialism, makeup, etc.
Lammily is fairly well made and I like how heavy the doll is. I, however, like many others, am disappointed in the feet. The ankle joint is way too flimsy and the feet pop off easily. My 4 year old is disappointed the doll doesn’t stand on her own. Also, the doll we received has two left feet. That’s not really a big deal; mistakes happen and you can’t even tell since we usually keep the shoes on. Our doll also has a couple of small cosmetic issues: the crack where the plastic joins together on the torso is too wide, like it would be easy for me to snap apart with the assistance of a small flat head screwdriver and there are several areas on the legs where it looks like something poked through from inside the mold. Perhaps quality control is something the company needs to improve upon.
In short, we like the doll a lot, however, had I seen it in person, I would have been more leery of spending $25.
This person –
She’s awesome. I was trying to take off her shoes, popped off her foot by accident, freaked out, found out I could pop it back on, popped it back on. She’s by far the best doll that has ever entered this household.
Cassia –
I got her in the mail on December 8. when I first got her out of the shipping box and opened her she was even better than I thought. I am 23 years old and I love dolls and I collect toys and all I can say is she is amazing and I love her. I wish I got her when I was a little girl, I will save her for when I have kids. I will also say Barbie sucks and Lammily rocks. thank you to the person who made her possible.
Jolene Johnson –
Lammily is so great. The only thing is that she can’t stand. And the fact that she doesn’t have boots in at least one outfit. But I love how the outfits look. Very different from Barbie.
HJ –
I’m an artist and I just got Lammily, she is so beautiful! The doll inspires me to create female characters that give realistic, positive body image! I hope these dolls stick around for long time!
Diane –
Granddaughter Cassie loves this doll! All the clothes are chic but appropriate to a young adult. Just received 3 gowns which are gorgeous. Keep up the good work. Waiting for male doll & more fashions.
LAUREN –
My husband and I bought this for our daughter (age 3) last Christmas. She had been wanting a Barbie, but I was (am) not comfortable buying that brand because of various reasons. My daughter LOVED her new doll, Ella. I did too. Her hair is so soft and beautiful. Her shape looks realistic, athletic, and healthy. She can actually sit on a toy horse for dolls. My daughter is now age 4 and really wants a pink ball gown for Ella.
I hope the brand continues to expand. I am pleased to see another doll is available for pre-order. I just hope some new clothing options develop for the dolls. They can be educated adventurers and still be more stylish…possibly even wear pink!
Sean Gagnon –
Hi Emily! Thank you so much for your interest in Lammily! We are working on getting Lammily into a toy store near you! Keep an eye out!
emily –
hi im emily and im 10 years old. lammily is so cool and so realistic i saved up for one o and why did you make them cheaper than barbies when there new and you can only buy them on line we need to get them in stores NOW
Chloe –
I love this Barbie alternative! It teaches girls to feel better about their bodies.
Laura –
I’ve purchased a doll and several outfits for my daughter. She is less than a year old, so hopefully dolls of different body shapes and races are released before she is old enough to play with them. I am planning on buying everything so she can have a good collection.
Kathy –
My daughters love their Lammily dolls! My 5 year old regularly comments on how Lammily looks like her but her other fashion dolls don’t look like real people. I particularly love Lammily’s gorgeous hair.
Sean Gagnon –
Hi Irene – Thank you so much for your support! We are in the process of creating more dolls of different race & ethnicity. We appreciate your support!
Sean Gagnon –
Hi Ava – We are working on creating a variety of dolls of different hair, eye, race & ethnicity to appeal to all the different girls in the world. Stay tuned!
Sean Gagnon –
We are working on creating a variety of dolls to appeal to both genders.
Lee –
I was excited about the concept of this doll but disappointed in the finished product. I am an adult who makes handcrafted doll clothes/sewing patterns.
Pros:
Hair is nice and easy to comb.
Face and breasts are realistic though torso a bit weird.
“Make-up” natural and appropriate
Feet and hands are removable which means she can wear sleeves and pants legs that don’t have to fit over her hands or feet
Cons:
She needs a stand. Joints in elbows and knees barely bend.
She cannot sit like a lady, but must spread her legs very wide open, which makes outfits like the Barcelona dress not fit when seated.
Arms are proportionally too short
Feet are too flat for heels so the plastic heels in the Barcelona outfit cannot be worn and look properly positioned. She should wear flats instead.
Her shoulders are at 90 degrees to her neck making her torso look like a rectangle–too squared off.
Barbies, sit much better and the more expensive ones have good joints and are easier to dress and play with and pose. At $25, this doll is sold at a hefty cost compared to basic Barbies.
Hess –
Love her. She’s pretty like a real person. I like the way both arms and legs, plus wrists and ankles bend. I love how she’s flat-footed, but can still wear little heels. Toes and fingers are separate, which is adorable. I’m really impressed with the details of her clothes.
A few suggestions: little bit darker lips would be more appropriate to her skin tone; trim her hair evenly, it looks like she cut it herself; needs to be able to stand on her own or come with a stand to support her; clothes a little tight and hard to put on, especially bottoms.
I’ve started making some clothes for her myself, and I’m having fun with that. Can’t wait for some new dolls with ethnic variety!
Again: Love her!
Jalisa –
I’m rating this for my daughter Jalisa and she loves what she’s heard about those dolls
Barbie –
My daughter is totally enamored with her doll. Lammily is the only doll I have seen that girls can feel proud to play with. She is like a best friend. I hope you will add some friends for Lammily to interact with.❤️
Rebecca Hughes –
i haven’t yet purchased a beautiful lammily doll as of yet ut 100% will soon, i feel this is an amazing concept for young children (including boys) to play with and be around so they don’t have an unrealistic image for women but i would absolutely love to see a male version of this doll with out ripped abs and perfect hair and face because their is a unrealistic image for males today as well.
LEONE SUSANNA –
È meravigliosa!
Maria –
I ordered the doll as a gift for my 8-year old niece. She loved her! I had her select a couple of outfits for “Sophia” and she can’t wait for them to arrive. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that Sophia’s feet popped off and now she has wobbly feet. Waiting for new feet to be available so I can order a replacement. We are both looking forward to a Latina doll. 🙂
Addison –
Hi, Hey, Hello
When I first found out about this doll my mind started to spin about this great idea . All of the children who would be able to play with an appropriate body shaped doll. Parents will feel especially good for purchasing this doll for their kids, and of course, this is a great doll for collectors. This fashion doll practically appeals to everyone. Plus, if someone personally thinks this doll is amazing without even purchasing her (like myself), the Lammily doll is a must have.
Shirley –
Finally a doll with realistic proportions – she looks like a typically-sized girl. A healthy role model for any young girl. Can’t wait for more hair color/eye color/skin color differences.
Yeralis –
I love this Doll! She has A Normal Average female body and that’s what I mostly Liked about her! Her hair is very soft and she looks EPIC! There is something I wanted to say too…. Lammily Should have a boyfriend like barbie does. Lammily’s boyfriend should also have a nice average Real Life Male Body!!! Please!!!!
Mia De’Rio –
I love it, but the joints are stiff. Maybe you could make it ball-jointed? Overall it is a pretty good doll!
Lisa –
I love her, she is so beautiful and i named her Riley :3
Ava –
The doll’s idea is amazing! The fact that the doll looks like a real girl makes girls feel like they can look beautiful by being themself. However, the fact that there are no African-American dolls is a bit upsetting, and not every girl has long hair. All in all, I love the concept, and it’s an amazing doll! Can’t wait to get one!
Deborah –
I have bought 5 or my granddaughters and my self Lammily dolls. And we all like her. I love her size is like a real teenage girl. I bought my self all the clothes.I told my granddaughters it’s up to there mom’s to buy the clothes. I like the clothes. But I hope you will come out with summer clothes .Like bathing suites , sweat suites , underwear , and a evening gown. On Facebook I see a lot of people making there dolls clothes. And there making furniture and houses for there dolls. Lammily has gotten a lot of us to be creative with the dolls. She’s fun doll. And very pretty. I like that’s she’s not all made up in pink. And don’t have a lot of makeup on. She looks natural .But she needs flat shoes next .TY
Nicole –
I just got her today! I love her soo much! She looks very realistic , I love her clothes, and what she teaches girls. Even thought she can’t share clothes with other brand dolls, I still love her. I can’t wait to see more dolls!
Ruby –
This doll gives a fantastic image of what a human being should somewhat look like. Unlike the Barbie doll, the Lammily doll has features of real girls. I think the Lammily doll is a doll that you would want your child to play with. It would have been nice to grow up with a doll that didn’t have life threatening plastic surgery.
Carolina –
Lammily has reached Sweden. Wonderful that there is finally these dolls with the right proportions. Slowly but surely together we can try to make the world a little better for our children.
Now is the time to sew some pretty clothes before she comes to the children’s school.

It’s about time, now make one of color so that all girls can see and feel good about their bodies
Sanna –
I loved the concept of this doll. She has very sweet and kind face, and the packaging is outstandingly beautiful! International shipping was quick and the dolls arrived safely. The clothes were pretty everyday wear and easy for children to dress up themselves. Only thing to mention, is that the ankles seem to be quite weak for otherwise very sturdy doll, and shoes were tight, so they had to be taken off very carefully. Also for future improvements, a jointed or sideways twisting waist might be nice. In general this is such a lovely doll, and kids loved her.
Paula –
I love my new Lammily doll. I love that the proportions are realistic and she really is prettier in real life then in the pictures. I wasn’t so crazy about the outfit that she came in, then I realized the shirt made her look dumpy & boyish to me & I wondered if I could do anything about it. I just pinched the back & it looked better, so I grabbed a needle & thread & added pleats to the back of the shirt & poof! Fem fabulous & a better view of her real figure. I can’t wait to make more cloths for her.
I would say the age rating should be 5 years old minimum. This is definitely not a doll for a one to three year old
Athena King –
I like her because she is a real woman. She is strong and in her story, there is nothing about dating or meeting cute boys.
Age 10, Birthday gift
anthony –
Very nice doll. I love the hair and bendable arms and legs. make up a little lite but the lips up close look like she has on lip gloss
alex –
I just got her last night and she is gorgeous. I had been wanting to hear more about her the first time I saw her. I finally saw the video review on the Mommy and Gracie show channel on youtube, so I found the website and scraped up some money, and here she is. her hair is so so soft and her clothes are amazing quality: Just dont leave her hands in her back pockets for too long or the pocket will start to rip. I highly recommend this doll for collectors and players of all ages.
Jessica –
OMG I love this doll and im a child. your doing a good job!<3
Lynn Peters –
This is a Real Doll!! I have 3 of her outfits also and will get more. I am being careful with her feet! She really needs some pajamas, though, and casual skirts and tops. A boy for a friend would be nice, with lots of clothes.
The around the world concept is fun. How about more cities/ places in the US too?
I can see a good future for a doll like this! I am a doll collecting and playing with dolls grandmother. Keep this doll line going!!!
Marlén –
I received my order with a doll, Lammily marks and two outfits yesterday. I suspect there will be one happy 4-year-old that gets her first Lammily doll for her birthday! 🙂 The doll is adorable, and seems to be of great quality. I have been waiting for a realistic doll that I can give to my doll-loving niece for a long time, and Lammily is perfect!
Hopefully you will make dolls in different genders, skin colours, body shapes and hair colours later. I would love to buy a bunch of them to for my future pupils to play with. 🙂
dramagirl817 –
I love my Lammily doll. I am 12 years old and today my sister who is 3 wanted me to play Barbie with her. I played with my Lammily. She says that Lammily looks a lot like my and my mother. Now she wants one too! Love Lammily!
Jennifer –
Bought one for my niece, along with some of the outfits. She loved it – and insisted on bringing it to school the next day. 🙂
Camila –
yo soy de chile y quisiera la muñeca porque la e escuchado yla deseo
bkebert –
I’M 14 AND LOVE THIS DOLL SO MUCH. SHE’S THE COOLEST DOLL EVER. SHE’S SO PRETTY, HER HAIR IS NICE, HER JOINTS BEND REALY WELL. HER HANDS AND FEET LOOK SO REALISTIC. IT’S COOL THAT SHE HAS A BELLYBUTTON, IT’S FUN TO PUT LINT IN IT. HER OUTFIT IS VERY WELL MADE, BUT THE PANTS POP OPEN IN THE VELCRO WHEN SHE SITS, ELASTIC CORD WOULD PREVENT THIS. IT’S REALLY FUN TO MAKE CLOTHES FOR HER. SHE LOOKS LIKE A MINATURE PERSON. IT’S COOL THAT SHE’S A NORMAL SIZE, NOT SOME FREAKISHLY SKINNY WEIRDO. EVERY TIME I SEE BARBIES IN STORES I WANT TO THROW THEM AWAY AND STOCK THE SHELVES WITH LAMMILY’S .
I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL YOU MAKE MORE DOLLS!!
LAMMILY IS THE BEST DOLL ON EARTH.
SimpleCow –
This doll exceeded my expectations! She arrived on time for my birthday and is gorgeous! When you get this doll, you get a lot more than what you payed for! I love the idea behind Lammily and look forward to seeing more in the future! 🙂
Leslie –
I ordered 2 of these in the Kickstarter boost to hold for grands. Will order mpre when other skin, hair, & eye colors are available.
Alison –
I got this doll through Kickstarter to support the idea and to give a doll that is “different” to my ten year old niece on Christmas day. She’s a soccer player and loves to play dolls with her friend. We were all shocked on Christmas morning when my FOURTEEN year old too-cool-for-everyone niece screamed, “You got a Lammily doll!” She kept her manners but she looked like she wanted to snatch the doll up. She asked her sister if she could see it and then proceeded to touch it in what I could only say was …awe. She had seen the doll on the internet and thought it was the best idea ever. It literally brought tears to my eyes. It wasn’t even hers but you could tell she liked that doll. My regret is that I didn’t buy one for my oldest niece, too. I’m buying one for her now, though. She may not play with it but I hope that it will inspire her when she sees it.
Cathy Matthews –
Love my girls with their thich hair, lovely face painting and generally nine bodies. I would like to see slightly longer legs and a slightly longer neck for a more realistically look
Nyeelah –
I really like lammily because well, she’s so human like and she can be anything and you can give her her own name rather then lammily.
Dawn –
Lamilly is a great doll, I am glad I invested in her. My concerns are with her feet. They do not look right, it is almost like they should be spun around in the socket. Then she has the right stance. I got the London outfit with her, and while the shoes fit, with the heels and the odd stance of her feet she looks like she is constantly falling forward or walking up a steep hill. Also the grey turtleneck does not fit her. I have to really really stretch it to get the Velcro shut and then it rides up her belly because it is too small. It does fit her cousin B….. quite well. My nieces like to play with her when I watch them, she goes barefoot, and they have given up on the turtleneck.
Deborah –
I wish there were dolls like this when I was a kid. She looks so real .I have her setting by my computer and noticed her feet even have a arch. Her fingers and toes look like real ones. .And all the outfits fit her just right. You did a very good job on making theses dolls. Keep up the good work. Thank you.And my granddaughters thank you too.
Irene –
I love the whole idea, concept and reality of your Lammily doll. She is beautiful! My adult daughter and I discovered you while driving! We had to pull over to enjoy the pics of comparison with Barbie and on her own. I cannot get over her beauty and her uniqueness. My main question concerns the unveiling of your multi ethnic or multicultural dolls and male dolls. When will they be for sale?
FanVoverLuvar –
I like it alot, make more of these dolls! pleeeaaasseee.
I love the idea, but, I’d leave out some of the stickers
FanVoverLuvar –
I like it alot, make more of these dolls!

Caelyn –
GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!! thank you for providing a doll worth playing with. Can’t wait for P.J.s, swim suits, and work out clothes like in the picture!I hope this product sky rockets.
Myra –
I love this concept! I would like to see it expand to reflect American Society.
Linda B. –
I love this idea and can’t wait to buy one for my granddaughter! Can the doll be made with red hair?
Andrew –
This plan is fantastic; I have two daughters on their way to becoming young women, and I have been wanting this product since the day they were born! I wish you a fabulous success!
noicortese –
Hello, I’m Italian, I ordered Lammily for me, for my mother and a friend of mine! I received the dolls in twenty days, they are beautiful! The packaging was perfect and there were no additional costs beyond the cost of postage. You can order with confidence (and sorry for my bad English …)!
kristal –
I think the doll is awesome…Wish i had Lammily doll…
Natalie Fisher –
A well made doll and my daughter loves her. My only negative comment would be her head is slightly too small for her body. Other than that she is lovely and high quality.
Barbara –
Loved the concept behind this doll. Pre-ordered three for my nieces. They are beautiful and am sure my nieces will enjoy them!
yaniris –
quiero una muñeca
Marion –
Lammily arrived yesterday, a long journey for her to Tasmania. She is lovely and all my family and friends agree. Like the little schoolboy in the video clip, I await a boy doll to share with my grandsons.
bev siwak –
Love the whole concept of the doll, would love it for my twin grandaughters, can they be ordered from Australia.
mandy –
Knees do not bend, but they do on the picture? legs and feet are not quite good. Should have put more thought in it. Hate it
Sibel –
Very nice. I got her with a little trouble at first, but I love it. Only bad side are the feet and the inability to sit normally. Maybe make bendable knees and more stable feet.
Marie –
Dear Lamm,
Watching this makes me very greedy. I wish I could have one. But I wouldn’t use it.
The most important thing about Lammily for me is that I feel very grateful for- and inspired by her. Thank you
ina –
i got my lammily doll to day. i adore her. she has so sweet face and beautiful soft hair.
gayle –
I love the concept of the doll, and am happy to have been one of the initial supporters. I do have a few critique points however, as I think she can be improved.
Here biggest structural problems are in her upper legs and crotch area, The doll cannot sit properly due to the width of the crotch, narrowing this area and perhaps having the hip joint be a rolling ball of some sort would improve this issue. Also, she is unbalanced and cannot stand on her own. With her overall structure and the size and design of her feet, she should be able to stand comfortably on her own, but that is not the case. I think some engineering tweaks are required that will make her a much better doll. Her feet and hands are fragile, and pull off easily as well, and again, I think these are engineering problems which could be remedied.
I think the doll needs to be factory finished a bit better as well. The hair is so thick from the rooting that it takes a lot of combing to get the loose excess out, the ends of the hair could have been trimmed and tidied up a bit as well.
Her lip color would have looked better, and more natural if the color choice had been a nice transparent brick shade. It would have looked more like real lips instead of white pink lipstick.
She IS a lovely first attempt, and with some minor attention to a few details, she could be truly spectacular!
Janelle –
Excellent doll! She’s very different than any other similarly-sized doll out there. I used to collect dolls, and I had to have one! 🙂
Vera Hoffarthharper –
Yes I have to ask about the Black doll with the big thighs and Black kinky or braided or curly hair. So black girls can see themselves represented. As well Asian and Hispanic dolls. When my daughter was young I gave all the girls who invited her for their B’day Black dolls which was an extraordinary thing since she was reared in Germany and these girls probably had never seen a Black Barbie style doll in that beautiful B’day dress they all have.
Gayle –
I think she is adorable, and happy to support her initial run. I am an adult collector of very expensive Asian Ball Jointed dolls, as well as standard fashion dolls, and I think the Lammily concept is just wonderful.
I agree with others, that her hands and feet are far too fragile, and easy to remove. She needs an upgrade from your engineering department. Also, the color palette for her face is just terribly off to me ( I am also a repaint artist), her lips should have been a whole different shade as you can barely see them, and if you do it makes her look terribly pouty, also she needs a bit of cheek color to make her look warmer.
The outfits are cute, and again, the whole concept is truly wonderful, with some minor upgrade, you have a real winner here!

Lammily,
To preface, I am a psychologist and one of my main specialties is body image so I could not pass up the opportunity to support this project. Here is my feedback for what it’s worth.
Doll strengths: pose-able, realistic/accurate, appears to be good quality
Clothing strengths: fashionable, culture-enhancing/encouraging, fun mix and match wardrobe pieces, limitless potential – so many places, cultures, traditions, I am loaded with ideas just thinking about it, such as for example, “Hiking Machu Pichu” where Lammily gets hiking shorts and boots, a bandana, a backpack, canteen and compass, etc.
Doll weaknesses: the exorcist-feet! They literally go all the way around, and do so easily and loosely. It is unimaginably frustrating when you are trying to put on her clothing, b/c the feet go backwards – it took me several minutes! The sizing is a little off – I felt like I was stuffing a size 10 into an 8 – I had to pull very hard to get those pants to close, and they still seem tight. It was very hard to put on her gloves from her Scottish outfit, so there needs to be more ease with tinier items. Quality – I am very disappointed in the quality of the clothing based on the prices I paid. Loose threads were literally falling off the clothes before even going onto the doll! Honestly, I feel like I could have sewed these myself, and I don’t sew! This is definitely a place for improvement.
Recommendations:
UNDERWEAR – please give Lammily a bra and underwear, that would enhance a lot!
Pajamas – this doll is intended for play, and children love to put dolls in pajamas!
Fix the exorcist feet issue! Feet should not go backwards like that!
Make the knees or elbows bend (maybe later down the line but worth mentioning
Improve the quality of the clothing – put someone on quality control
A label – because the clothing is of such low quality right now, it can be easily imitated and sold at substantially cheaper prices. A way to help offset this would be to create a label such as “LAM” that is sewn into the inside of clothing articles, and functions as both a tag and proof of authenticity. This would increase the overall and future value of both Lammily and her clothing!
Travel Set – because Lammily is international, she needs a rolling suitcase/luggage set, a passport, and a few things to keep her busy on the airplane, such as a book, or sketchpad, or something! Kids would love this, trust me!
Thanks for making this happen, and I look forward to your continued progress!
Kelly Swartz –
I got into the kickstarter and probably I just forgot about it until I started seeing media…
opening up the box and seeing my doll inside was like Channukah and Christmass at the same time!
so happy this doll is around.
Wish it had been when i was growing up.
Chris –
daughter loves this, looks like mom
Lila –
I was so happy that I supported your doll. I received both of my dolls well before Christmas; one went to my 9 year old granddaughter, the other will go to her cousin when she is older ( or I may keep her for myself and give her a later model once you have the issues with the loose hands and feet fixed). I am really pleased with Lammily and have to smile when my granddaughter will see a young woman on the street or on a TV show and remark “she looks just like my Lammily”. She is also enjoying sewing clothes for her. I would like to be able to get some of her accessories like shoes and bags separate rather that buying an entire outfit.
candelita gonzalez reguilon –
me gusta esta muñeca quisiera una es muy hermosa saludos de argentina
Nicole –
Great concept. My boys saw me looking at this doll and immediately started begging for one. Thanks or showing boys playing with dolls in your videos. My boys both love playing with dolls but boy dolls you can dress up are so rare. You can take care of baby boys or play with Ken, nothing in between. My boys want dolls that look like them, too!
Angela –
we need the Doll as soon as posible in Germany, in fact all the world need it
Betsy –
Finally got my doll for my granddaughters, will order 2 more so they can each have one. Should have done that in the first place. Lol Wanted to check it out first and I am happy. You could make it easier to get the hair undone however.
Lee –
Absolutely beautiful doll. Received her for my birthday and being a bigger person I found her much more relatable and adore her chubbier upper legs.
Gloria –
Es genial
Tim –
My mom told me she bought 2 for her granddaughter (my niece) but the 2nd one was for a back up if she lost or broke the 1st . My mom sent me the 2nd one and I think it looks better than Ms B even the clothes.
Isadora –
I think the ideia is great and you should invest now on making dolls with different etnies! It would make even more difference! This project is awesome, I have no words to express my feelings about it! Would congratulations from the deep of my heart be enough?
Linda –
From what I see, and from hearing the children respond, I think it is a fabulous doll!! I would like to get one for all the little girls I know!
Diane –
Just gave doll to my 9-year-old granddaughter Cassie yesterday as a reward for a great report card. She loves it & Mom also approves because she is so pretty while showing a realistic body type (more like females in our family). Cassie made “Winter” a nightie from paper towels and cannot wait for fashions. Also wants a rolling suitcase accessory for her trips!
DK Green –
SO glad I pre-ordered on the crowdfunding.. received, adored, absolutely fantastic! Can’t wait to see the boy doll so I can have a pair 😀
Lauren Moore –
I Love It…. If an African American or Hispanic version is ever available for purchase I will be needing 3 for my daughters and 5 for my sister and nieces. Wonderful idea
Linnea –
Also, when are you coming out with the exclusive first edition of the opposite gender?
Linnea –
I got my lovely lady for Christmas, and I immediately wanted to find all of my Barbies, and play Mr. Bill with them. When I was younger, Barbie was my LIFE! Then I hated her, and dolls in general. Lammily made me realize, even though I’m a tomboy, I’m still very in to dolls, I just needed a little girl power put into them. I named her Daniella, because she looks Hispanic, so I looked up Hispanic female names, and came up with that. Even when I was at my Granpa and Nana’s house, Nana sewed Daniella some new clothing with her sort of new sewing machine. I also can’t wait for my dad to get me the New York New York outfit for her. When I was making a parody of “All About That Bass” I featured Daniella in my video. Hopefully, when the video is uploaded, it will go viral because of it’s message, and people will see the Lammily doll, and it’ll get more attention. Your idea deserves more than what it has right now. Maybe you could have a suggestion page for people to put suggestions for the doll? When I was talking with my Aunt Jackie, I put Daniella in a running position and said, “You don’t see Barbie going for a run!” I also put her in a push-up position and said the same. Also, I saw the comment section of some articles and one of them said that they found Lammily more physically attractive than Barbie.
Jamie –
Beautiful doll! Very well made with a good weight to the doll. Realistic proportions, lovely face and very well made clothing. The box is absolutely stunning with it’s original artwork and builds much anticipation while going through the opening. Lammily is a true treasure!
Sonja –
I love my doll, she is so pretty and nice to hold! The only con for my doll is her hair. I have heard everywhere that the doll has soft and smooth hair but mine has frizzy ends and the hair doesn’t feel soft. It’s also a bit curly and I really hoped for straight hair!
Joan –
I have collected many dolls in my lifetime, but never have I seen the concept of a Lammily doll. I fell in love with the children’s concepts of her. Good work and wonderful item. I want one.
Ariel –
I participated in the crowd source funding campaign for Lammily; I got it as my niece’s Christmas gift last month. She absolutely loves it!! I stealthily got a name out of her for her doll. Sammi calls it her Travel doll because the box that she came in describes all of the places in the world that she has gone to. Very excited to see what Lammily has planned for the future!!
Charynanne –
I didn’t give this doll 5 stars only because I would like to see dolls similar to Lammily but that more closely represent people from other cultures. The dark hair is a start but I know you could do more. That said, I am hoping that a boy version of this doll will be released soon.
Vic –
I wanted to adore this doll and I kind of do. I think she is pretty- average is pretty. I’m not sure about the idea of calling her “average” to be honest. No one is “average”, there are individuals. Yes in society there are average sizes etc but doesn’t mean a person is average. I love her hair- that it doesn’t reach her ankles!! I have no idea how she is posed as in Webster photos as she does not hold a pose. She cannot stand and her feet and hands fall off very easily.
I feel like the I’m the only person with this compliant- I don’t like that her body is such a separate piece to her limbs. It’s molded weirdly, and looks like a box with legs and arms stuck on., it sticks out from her limbs and is a different colour on my doll.
Also if she is supposed to be anatomically correct the. She should be a sexed doll.
I would have liked hero to have had underwear. She is often pictured in a red crop top, which would have been nice for her to where under her shirt. It’s also not part of any of the outfits.
Having said this, I think SE s a nice doll. I love the idea, and I love that she has thighs! But she’s a first edition so I’m sure changes to come. Shipping was a sham, considering what I paid for it! LOVE the outfits, would have be nice to buy Individual items, and casual stuff – jeans, hoodies, swimming costume, etc etc anda school uniform!
Despite this, I do very much like this doll and the concept behind her! About time. I bought her for myself but would buy for an older child- she’s not safe for very a all children as hands and feet fall off
Roger –
I ordered three dolls to my three daughters almost a year ago in february long before the full amont of money was raised.
I can say that it has been one of my best investments ever. My daughters aged 13, 17 and 22 just loved it. And so did the mother, grandmothers and cousins as well. It was the most spoken christmas presents for a long time.
From all of us in Sweden, thank you for doing this!
I am looking forward to the upcoming dolls.
Anna –
i havent gotten the doll yet but from what i have heard she seems like an amazing doll. cant wait to get her and name her violet . great doll!!
Laura –
I am a HUGE advocate for this product and this company. I loved my Barbie dolls growing up, but even at a young age, I recognized that they did not look like me. I have a nine month old daughter and I look forward to getting her a Lammily doll and outfits when she’s older. 🙂

UNA MUÑECA REAL. CON MEDIDAS COMO LAS MIAS CUANDO ERA ADOLECENTE. MUY BONITA
Jane –
Lovely lovely doll. I had a bit of a wait to receive her but really glad now I was patient! I will be ordering some outfits in due course. I have been a doll collector for about 15 years.
marisajrobinson –
I love her! I got her via the Kickstarter and have kept her in the box.. planning on ordering a second doll that I can ‘play’ with (yes.. play.. at 34! haha well changes clothes etc’ I hope that this doll eventually makes it to stores here in Australia so it’s easier to access.. I will definitely be a collector and plan to get all your different versions as well as buy them for my future children! 🙂 Looking forward to seeing what your new editions will bring 🙂
Margarita –
Very nice doll. I purchased two; one for my daughter and one for my niece. I’ve also ordered the outfits. This is going to be a very popular line of dolls.
Thank you.
Lynne –
As a Fashion doll collector I am always on the lookout for new and exciting dolls! That’s what I found in my Lammily doll! She’s so awesome! She’s perfect! I can’t wait to see a male Lammily Fashion doll!!!! Thanks for such a wonderful item!!!
Penny –
I thought this was a great idea, that’s why I supported it. When I received my dolls, I was most impressed, not only with the doll, but the packaging. I have showed her off to a lot of moms I work with and given out your web site. Looking forward to what is coming!
Cindy Batusic –
I received the doll and I love it. I am ordering another! My granddaughters will be thrilled.
Barbara –
Doll is beautiful, even if she does have some problems. Please continue to offer dolls of other ethnicities, and boys. Thanks!
Sharmi –
Pros: very naturalistic, pretty shape
Cons: She can not bend her knees and sit down. I thought she was sporty and had more joints
Very stiff and heavy to play with. Sorry, please try again
Jenny D –
I am a avid doll collector , and when i heard that this doll came out i had to get it. My husband ordered it for me and it arrived just on Christmas eve.The expectations of receiving the doll was high . She was perfect . Its was beautifully made and displayed with the rest of my collection.
Deborah –
I just received the dolls I ordered today. And I love them. One is mine the other goes to my granddaughter for birthday. She looks like my granddaughter Lilly . And I named her Lilly after my granddaughter. It’s nice to see a doll that I can give her a name I like. I had Barbie when I was a kid. So I will be ordering again if my other girls like her too. You did a good job making these dolls. And the box Lilly came in is so pretty. I like the art work. I feel like a kid at Christmas when I got my package today. Also I read about this doll being made last year I’m glad you got to make her
Eric –
I am so glad I bought Lammily! She’s very pretty and I really do like her. Her box artwork is especially gorgeous! ( Thanks to the beautiful work of Yelena Lamm)
-Her hair is VERY nice and soft. (like everyone says)
-Her outfit is very cute and fun.
-Her face does look kind of emotionless and dull. I would have liked a little smile or something mirroring her sweet expression on her box art.
-I like her articulation. Her click joints on her knees and elbows are fun to move. Her legs and arms are vinyl.. so there is more friction when changing her, but her clothes weren’t so tight that it was hard to remove her clothes. They were loose enough so that it was an easy process. Also, her hands and feet detach for what I am assuming is the purpose of easy dressing, which I am very glad about.
I support the message of Lammily, but I by no means think other fashion dolls are innately bad influences on children. Fashion dolls are (to me) primarily about fantasy, fun, and FASHION. There are many different factors way more influential than a fashion doll in affecting how a child perceives their body. It’s great that Lammily promotes a realistic body image, but I love other fashion dolls and don’t think they are automatically harmful for being proportionately thin to real human beings.
Can’t wait for more from this brand!
Haley –
I’m doing a report with the Lammily doll in it. I am doing a persuasive about normal barbie and I’m using Lammily as a reference for everything. You guys are amazing.
Rosalia –
la tengo desde principios de enero y me a gustado mucho, es muy especial, y si que parece una persona real.
Isabella –
I received my Lammily today and I adore the packaging and her sweet face/outfit etc. However the one thing I was unhappy with was how unrealistically straight up and down her waist and torso was for a young woman. I am not saying she should have a ridiculously narrow waist but she is literally shapeless on her torso which I was slightly disappointed to see. However overall she is a darling and as I said before, the packaging is fantastic.
Overall I’m pretty happy with her. I’d love to see some diversity in dolls as well, I think producing a range of shapes and sizes would really push this brand to a new level !
Anna-Klara –
Wonderful! Both got home to Sweden safely, and they are lovely. Thank you, thank you! This is truly a gift. FINALLY! 😀
johnna –
Love…love…love. about time this doll was made. One Kady said she got it for her 1 year old dsughter for Christmas and had to get the foot out of her daughters mouth. So she gave a low rating. The package clearly state not intended for children under 3. Small part..choking hazard. Brilliant brillant..brilliant. . She is beautiful and stunning . Hands down an epic doll of 2015. Defiantly following this doll and getting one of every season. I feel like a young girl again with my barbies when I see her. Wish my barbies looked like her. My daughter will Def get this doll before any Barbie or Ken my matel for sure!!! ♡♡♡♡
Herman –
I like the doll very much. I would only like to have a stand to put her on her feet.
It would also be nice if there would be a shoe package with different shoes, to go with self made clothes.

my doll got here a bit late, but perfectly intact. she’s so cute and looks prefectly at home with my other dolls. gave her a haircut and am planning to make her a cute traditional dress . She’ll be an awesome gift for my younger cousin when I’m finished with her!

Super, a noel je l’ai offert ma petite niece. Elle etait ravie.
Livraison rapide vers la France.
Lammily a Paris <3
Inara Tabir –
The feet and hands come off too easily. It makes the doll not realky for practical play.My children were disappointed. Fix those issues and you have a first rate doll.
Anne –
I am a 76 year old grandmother who collects, studies, and researches dolls. My daughter liked your concept of a realistic girl that did not look like a beauty queen or model, and one that had a natural body shape, and aspired to higher ideals such as traveling and learning, rather than an overly vain concern with her own good looks, shopping, boyfriends, and the latest fashion. She gave me your Lammily doll for Christmas. Overall, I like the doll and her concept. She has many fine qualities in addition to those mentioned above, such as very fine hair rooting, a relaxed and neutral facial expression, nice flat hips rather than big bulges to accommodate jointing and stringing, and realistic proportions. Most aspects of the doll are excellent; however, the main fault I see is the loose foot jointing. To be perfect the doll should stand on her own, but Lammily can’t because her feet ball joints are too wobbly and her legs don’t have enough weight to support her. I believe she would balance and stand If corrections were made in the jointed feet and weight of the legs, I believe these two changes would greatly improve a child’s ability to play with and relate to this doll.
Erin –
My 2 1/2 year old loves the doll (and has named her “Fancy”). However, I’d have to agree with multiple reviews about the feet. It’s very difficult to take off the shoes without the feet coming off. Looking forward to future improvements and getting more outfits.
Hannah –
The doll is absolutly gorgeous !
I’m amazed by its quality ; I was effraid that the different natures of plastics composing the doll (hard plastic for the body, soft for the arms and legs, a different kind for the face…) would not be exactly the same colour, and they actually are ! I hope you’ll manage to have the same unity with other skintones. My only concern is that, since her body is wider than any other doll, the plastic of her legs is not soft enough for her knees to bend properly ; you might want to try a slightly different system for upcoming dolls.
The face is actually better than than I expected, and the hair is very nice too.
I enjoyed the fact that the box was fully illustrated, which makes it a collectible item on its own, but I have to admit that the whole thing felt a little bit like jehovah’s witnesses tracts, giving this awesome doll a weird “modest wasp girl” aura… Kind of disturbing.
I like how you managed not to over sexualise the doll by giving her casual clothes, and I’m very glad with the shorts and shirt she gets in the first edition package, but I’m not too fond about the “world of fashion” thing (although I don’t hate everything). Lammily has a right to fantasy ! If you only make her wear comfy-but-not-funky clothes, it kind of reinforces the idea that not-so-thin girls should wear very lose dull clothes to hide their bodies ! … Or that girls in general should wear covering outfits, which leads us again to the “jehovah’s witnesses” thing.
Also, about the lammily marks, the doll could use some hairs ! This is one of the first things that comes with the whole “becoming a woman” thing and girls have a lot of pressure on that matter, so having a hairy 19 years old healthy looking doll would be a real progress for kids !
I have great faith in your concept, and I can’t wait for the next dolls !
Christina –
It’s a bit hard going from barbie to lammily but it is perfectly good I named my lammily Cassey and her last name is lammily it is a bit hard finding clothes for them but I found some that are resonable and fit perfectly. GO LAMMILY
Brandy Wilson –
Lammily arrived yesterday, and my daughter and I couldn’t be more pleased with her.
Jane –
This doll looks amazing! I remember being really excited when Sindy first appeared in UK in 1960s – much nicer than Barbie. I collect Sindy dolls so may add one of these to my collection. I will ensure I keep all the accessories and the box this time!
Sara McNeill –
I can’t believe this kinda doll has only just come on sale… I was so happy when my daughter said “It’s like mummy!”
I was planning not to give my daughter barbie type dolls but a neighbor gave her one. Happy for her to have this one! Tempting to get another first addition to save in the box… As she definitely wants to play with this one…
Please make a male one too!
Yes the hands and feet come off… But they easily snap back on… Not a problem in my opinion. I will keep them away from babies along with a million other small toys that the older kids have! 🙂
Katelyn –
I really like the lammily doll because it is more realistic than a Barbie doll which is very skinny. My daughter has a lot of fun playing with the lammily doll because she thinks it is a real person. I hope you make more lammily dolls in the future.
Mark –
What a beautiful, inspired, wonderful lady. The packaging, overall presentation, and the doll herself—it’s beyond words. Thank you for introducing such quality into our world. I feel peace, comfort, and inspiration having her around. She makes sense when so many things do not.
Larisa –
Здорово! Надоела всем блондинка, ведь девочки все разные!
Erin –
The doll was PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The leg was a little stiff but it’s winter… But I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
araminta –
My doll came today! I love her hair, her face is very sweet and i have ordered two outfits! Thank you Lammily for offering to refund the shipping! That was very kind! I simply LOVE the idea of a realistic fashion doll!!!
Tamra –
While I love that this doll has the same size thighs as I do, it is not constructed very well. The “articulated” knees and elbows only partially bend and the feet pop right off.
Chelsey –
My 3 year old daughter opened it up and squealed “it looks just like mommy!!” She absolutely loves it.
Anna Söderberg –
I just got mine. I can’t wait to give it to my niece! It took a while to get it to Sweden but it was worth wating for! I’m so happy and proud to be apart of this!
Wim –
Last month I ordered 2 dolls for my daughters, age 7 and 8, as a present for new year. Both love Lammily!! Shipment went very well considering we are from Belgium! Now the girls are anxiously awaiting the stickers and clothes. Congrats for this project and best of luck in the future!
Chris –
I was excited about the concept. My major issues are that when she sits her pants bust open and her entire butt hangs out. Maybe a bit too realistic for some of us? Also my child was a freaked out by the easily removable hands and feet. The made in china stamp is also bothersome. Overall not very impressed.
S & J –
I think she is great as I can make her clothes and look at her and see me in her. she is always smiling and I love playing with her. I love her suntanned hair it is silky. She looks like a teacher – very smart and adventurous in her clothes and I was wondering how to put a picture on this site? S.
Lammily has a kind face with gentle features. She looks quietly confident and quietly happy.J.
jeffandhallie –
We JUST received Lammily! Although she didn’t get here in time for Christmas, my daughter absolutely loves her. It would be neat to see some Germany outfits, since that is where we are stationed now! Thank you for all that you do!
ISABEL –
Recibida y muy bienvenida en Coyhaique, Patagonia Chilena!!!

Very beautiful!!!!!
Jenna McMullen –
i think its a god doll , but i feel like tell kids it has the ” right ” body it might make them feel like there is something wrong with there other dolls , but there isn’t , dolls are dolls kids don’t have to warry about there body yet , there kids

Wonderful, had a great customer service issue with Eleni, my doll came perfect, just as it was advertised, well done and I am very glad to have her.
Nana –
I really love the idea of the lammily doll but I still did not get her and I have a question when does lammily becomes a blonde??
Jen –
Pros: Lovely doll, solid materials with a very quality feel. The company created the doll with a great message in mind about realistic bodies. The hair is soft, shiny, with a healthy appearance. As mentioned, the proportions are realistic, so no super tiny feet or hands. There are even individual toes and fingers. The outfit that comes with the doll is casual, without being either prudish nor ultra conservative.
Cons: The ankle and wrist joints are fragile, and separate easily. Clothing is held together with Velcro-style closures. Shoes can be difficult to remove. Hip joints appear blocky and awkward.
Altogether, this is a pretty doll from a company with a conscience. It is certainly not for children under the age of four, but has collector potential.
Lenore –
I love her, but she can’t sit down properly and her clothing seems to fit her badly. I’m giving my doll to a designer friend of mine in hopes she’ll help create better clothing. I’m going to have to buy another one that I can personalize.
millie –
What a beautiful doll! and she has the softest hair ever. I was rally excited for my 5 year old to have this doll and everything she stands for. I had to give this doll 3 stars because the feet just fell off. over and over, they kept falling off. She has had the doll for 3 days and we have already lost both feet. hopefully they are in the couch or something. I would not give this doll to anyone under 5 years old because of the loose feet and the possibility of them being a choking hazard. fix the the feet and this doll will be a 5 star toy!
Kristi Jalics –
My two granddaughters (5 and 7 years old) received these dolls for Christmas and really like them. I’m only sad that clothes were not available in the same time frame….But I’ve ordered two sets of clothes for each doll and we have something to look forward to. I was a backer and am very happy of the fact!
Emily & Cara –
7 yr old: I love this so much! ! Especially the first, limited edition 🙂 and these are /not/ Barbie dolls cause I actually do not like them so I am glad that these are realistic looking! Thank you for inventing them.
Jessica –
I really wanted to like this doll because I like the idea. However, the first thing I wanted to do when I saw her was straighten her back. She has this funny exaggerated lordosis as if she is wearing high heels, although obviously she is not. If try to line up her hips with her legs, her upper body is leaning way back. If I align her neck and head with her legs, she has to lean forward. Consequently, she doesn’t stand on her own at all. Also, her clothes pop off is you try to put her in a seated position. I think she could have an average size butt and belly without this weird posture and immobility (with clothes on), and maybe that can be fixed in the next edition.
Otherwise, she is really pretty, has way-above-average hair, and nice quality clothes. I’m looking forward to some of the other outfits and hope they hide her poor curvy back! I still love the concept and am glad I have the first edition!
Melissa –
i just want to say thank you for giving the children a new perspective. the lammily doll is so beautiful and it brings so much hope with it . thank you
Jill –
Great doll and concept! Thrilled to see and invest in a better real world doll. It took 4 weeks to get her, but what do these other buyers expect with a brand new first time huge shipment of a product? It’s here and it’s awesome! I hope this takes off and replaces the current Barbie brand model.
Kaori –
I received two of these dolls from the Kickstarter campaign and was so excited to give them to my two girls for Christmas. First let me say, the doll is most definitely a step in the right direction, but it still needs a bit of work. The feet are too loose so she cannot stand up, even with her shoes on. The hands pop off easily. Finally, when you try to sit her down, her shorts come off, they should have a higher waistband. So if she can’t stand and she can’t sit without losing her pants, it makes it very hard to play with her. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing for my two girls.
Bonnie Benson –
I am so pleased with my first edition doll and the concept. Thank you so much!! Little girls today need more positive and realistic role models 🙂
karen –
I think that this doll is great and beuatiful inside and out .This doll also influences individuality and realistic images for our young girls. Can’t wait for it to come in the post.Big thanks to the inventor of the Lammily doll because she is truly special.
Delta –
I really wanted to like this doll but she really wasn’t worth the long wait. I ordered on Nov 20th and got her about December 22nd. Tracking number wouldn’t activate. Her joints are loose, her body seems deformed to me in the shoulder area and her feet are HUGE. They’re bigger than kens and I was hoping for something compatible with my other fashion dolls. Hair reeks of chemicals and is super stiff. $25 could buy something of much better quality. There’s nothing feminine about this doll.
Jen –
She is beautiful, and I love the idea. A great alternative to Barbie. I reaaaallly wanted to love this doll . . . but is there a reason the hands and feet completely detach? And they come off really easily. The doll should be rated for ages 5 or 6 and up. My 3 year old likes the doll, but can’t seem to play with it without the feel falling off every few minutes.
hedgepig –
Got my doll on Christmas Eve, what a treat. =) Really happy with her. Bought on the strength of the Toybox Philosopher review and totally agree with what Emily said about the doll – it’s a great product. Would love hinged elbows/knees, and hip joints with a greater range of motion. Also sturdier wrist/ankle joints, especially if I were getting one for my four year old. But still, for the price I’m really impressed.
Glen –
I was super excited about Lammily, and received her just in time for Christmas for my daughter. She’s 1, she loves it. I’m not 1 and I think it could use some serious work… I mean, what’s the point of articulation when as soon as you let go, the limb in question just hangs limply? The feet are particularly loose, making standing an impossibility. I have NO idea how they made those photos on the Lammily site – the doll DOESN’T STAND, and her arms DON’T STAY UP!
Also, and most scarily, the feet and hands come off at the slight tug (a 1 year-old can do it with ease). Had to retrieve Lammily’s left foot from my daughter’s grinning mouth on Christmas day. Fun.
So if you want a ragdoll make of rubbery plastic that can’t stand or do actions without being constantly held in place, and provides a choking hazard so requires 100% supervision, go ahead and grab a Lammily.
I was one of the first backers. Such a shame. Had such high hopes, but I can’t leave this with my daughter given the shoddy quality and choking hazard. Bin time.
Lina –
My 4 and 6 year old daughters got this doll for Christmas from their Grandma. Interestingly enough my 11 year old LOVES it, too. These are nice quality and are beautiful like real girls. In fact, part of the appeal for my 11 year old is that it look so much like her! Great product!
Jon –
My daughter and niece both got them this season and love them! The dolls are high quality with articulation points at the shoulders, hips, wrists and neck. My daughter thinks Lily’s hair is especially pretty! Thanks for making this great doll!
Corinna, Switzerland –
I ordered my Lammily back in May as a Christmas present for my 4y/o daughter. When she wanted a Barbie for Christmas, I was a bit anxious how she would react to the Lammily – but she loved it, loved the very nice hair, loved that she can move her feet and hands etc. – she slept with her in her hand last night…
I really like the idea of a more realistic doll and hope that there will be other dolls joining her soon (boys, other ethnic backgrounds). Love the idea of the stickers that make her more like a real person – what would make it even nicer was if she was anatomically correct and came with underwear.
Looking forward to order some clothes (and hopefully she will also have some more casual ones like a hoodie with blue jeans and sneakers). Only downside for us: shipping over to Europe makes every order quite expensive…
Emma –
My daughters and niece just got their Lammily dolls for Christmas today and they love them! My oldest daughter says her doll will be good at sports because her ankles turn in an amazing way that mean they’ll never get sprained or broken.
Glori Laundrie –
My review is based on seeing a doll purchased by my friend, and I would like to order an exclusive first edition of the doll. I consider it to be an excellent doll both for a child, as a representation of a regular teen young woman, but to also be a fashion doll with realistic yet stylish clothing.
Deana –
You have a winner. She reminds me of the composite modeling dolls in the 50’s only she has a grown up chest.
I bought her to support your project and she looks like my granddaughter who is 18. Thanks for completion of such a wonderful project and may there be many more.
Deana –
You have a winner. She reminds me of the composite modeling dolls in the 50’s only she has a girl chest.
I bought her to support your project and she looks like my granddaughter who is 18. Thanks for such completion of such a wonderful project and may there be many more.
thetash229 –
I have been waiting for over 3 weeks never got the doll. Thanks a lot Lammily!
Shawn McNeill –
She arrived today! Waited longer than I thought I would to get her but I was very happy her when she arrived. Now waiting on the 2nd one I ordered!
Cassandra –
I love this doll. I got her today. She is beautiful. She has a sweet face, and I agree that she looks like she could be one’s sister, aunt, cousin, or the girl next door. She looks like a friend. Her hair is very soft. I named my doll Beatrice. She was well worth the wait. I would be gentle with the hands and feet. I hold onto her heel while pulling the shoe gently down and then forward to get it off of her foot. I have seen some youtube videos of people just yanking the shoe off and having the foot come off with it. The knee and arm joints are a little stiff at first, but bending and snapping them in place about 40 times helped loosen them. I would like to see her come with a doll stand and a brush. I don’t see her as the ‘Anti-Barbie.’ She is a unique and special doll all on her own. Thank you to Mr. Lamm and all the contributors to the project for bringing the Lammily doll to life.
Kira –
My mum has played with Barbies since they first came out and as a result both her daughters [myself and my sister] naturally ended up playing with them. Growing up, I was always self conscious about the way I looked. When I saw the Lammily doll online, I fell in love with her and naturally, bought one myself.
The whole idea that she is to represent the “average” girl is a wonderful idea. Mine arrived today and both my mother and I adore her. I can’t wait to see where the Lammily doll goes in the future and what friends might join her along the way. Just a fast note, I’m 20.
She arrived with no dents or scratches and the doll looks better in person than she does online 😀
Vickie –
Beautiful doll! I’m ordering more First Edition Lammily Dolls and will continue to order products and dolls. Way to go Nickolay Lamm! We have the finest people and ideas from Pittsburgh, PA.
Leir –
For the time being, the doll seems okay. I like her shape and facial features. I would like to see her with a more glamorous wardrobe. To state that not only really skinny girls look fab in nightgowns can be a powerfull message too.
Debra Pearl –
Every day we checked the mail waiting for her to come. She is my doll. I am full-figured. My daughter is 10 and so envious. She wants to know when there will be boy dolls and everyone we show her too says maybe they will think outside the box more and make Grandma and Grandpa dolls. I love her like mad already. Can’t decide what to name her. That was an added plus. We travel a lot and cannot wait to take her on our adventures! Thank you. She is absolutely beautiful!!!
Abby –
I just received her today! I LOVE her! Her hair is really soft, and I love how her fingers and toes are separate. She’s so cute! I hope Lammily becomes huge and that the company is able to do other ethnicities. I will buy everyone just to support the company and help encourage diversity so ALL little girls can see themselves in their dolls.
Michael –
Hallo Lammily ist in Deutschland angekommen
Mein kleine Tochter wird sich sehr freuen
eddieschweighardt –
I love her she is awsome I just cant even the shipping was horrible but beside that she is beautiful totally recomend her.
Diane –
Still waiting for mine. Ordered it on Nov. 20th. Tracking number says “pending”. Was told by customer service that the dolls are made in China. Given an explanation about the tracking number DHL/USPS etc. that didn’t make much sense. I certainly hope this is worth the wait.
JC –
Going to add this to my daughter’s birthday wish list. being that she is of mixed race, I am hoping you are going to have dolls of other races coming down the line. Boy dolls would be great too, and also as others have mentioned, anatomically correct. Nothing risque or shameful about our sex organs!
Jill –
I’m still waiting for mine!! I was told it shipped 12/4 and the tracking number I was given is invalid.
Waiting to here back from customer service.
Elio –
WORST DOLL EVER! Horrible quality and just a flat out an UGLY doll. My review of this doll is on youtube.
Jesa DeVir –
I participated in the Kickstarter Fund the minute I saw it, because of the reasoning behind it. Having grown up with the media, toys, and everything else that forces all of these unrealistic standards about women, it caused me to grow up with a lot of self-insecurities. Now having a daughter of my own, I always said Barbie would be banned from my home, along with a handful of other products, and that I would never let her feel the way I did because of marketing. Then this was created, and it’s a perfect way for me to reiterate my messages to my daughter about realistic bodies, while enabling her to have another doll choice. I’m also ordering another doll shortly, as I want to keep the first edition to myself as a collector’s piece. 😉 I’m very happy with the packaging, the doll itself, the quality, and the message behind it!
Susan Malone –
I really love this doll. I hope in the future Lammily will produce dolls of diversity. I have African American and Mexican American friends who are looking forward to that production.
Linda –
Brilliant concept, delightful product! I look forward to ordering in the future as well.
This is the first thing I’ve been part of since the get-go.
Well done, Mr Lammily!
Pauline –
I received my doll today. I love her.I have already ordered two more dolls that should arrive within the next week and i am waiting for the outfit i ordered to come. I will be buying more outfits in the new year. Please make dolls from other cultures too, would love to be able to buy your dolls with auburn/ black /blonde hair , and more clothes!I know my grand daughter will love this doll when she is old enough to play with it. Shes 4 weeks old now!
Cathy Parker –
I ordered 4 of the First Edition dolls and was so excited to receive them! One will stay in the box and 3 are Christmas gifts for my granddaughters! I hope there will be patterns available in the future so we can sew our own doll clothes!
Lydia B Canada –
Her feet fell off during supervised play with a 4 year old. Very upsetting for her. I have yet to get a response to my two emails to the company about warranty/replacement. We merely had the doll pretend walk around the carpet and one by one the feet detached. Sigh…….
Teresa –
She’s lovely! I’m so excited for my granddaughters! Finally, a doll that is “real.” Thanks so much!
Anders –
Lammily arrived today in a great looking box. The doll itself looks very good so far as well. It’s good to see that there are some extra clothes in the pipeline as well! It’s such a good project this one, I am hoping your business takes off if it hasn’t already. When the time comes it would be nice with a variety of characters.
April Buchwald –
I always loved dolls and was excited to support your dream of Lammily. I received my first edition doll this week and will cherish her for my collection. I hope you will add a boy doll to the next issue and eventually add different hair colors to the dolls offered. Great Job to all involved. Cheers!!
Yvonne –
My beautiful doll arrived safely this afternoon and I am so thrilled! I love the whole Lammily concept and I love the doll herself. I will be so excited to see how this project develops. Thank you so much – she is pretty, realistic, sensibly attired and a perfect role model for girls of all ages. She was and is much needed!
Laurel Harper –
I bought a doll as a gift and couldn’t resist taking a peek. I was SO impressed that I’m buying another on e just for myself.
MaryTX –
The wait is over! My four dolls arrived two weeks ago beautifully packaged. I love the travel concept and the passport for downloading. The doll is very well made, ball joints at wrists and ankles and bendable at elbows and knees. Her clothes are well made, but she needs underwear.
I love that you are going to offer patterns for sewing outfits and just saw the Marks (stickers) offered below. Too, too cute.
The travel theme fits in nicely with volunteering – perhaps you could create activities like animal rescuing. I volunteer with animal rescue groups when we travel and would like to see this product encourage awareness and kindness in our youth around the world. She also needs a journal to capture her adventures!
As for making the doll more gender specific, I would finish the breasts, but the rest is fine as is with the indentations.
You are brilliant, Lammily Family! I trust your doll will have a special place in the world, especially when offered in different nationalities. Thank you!
Simon –
I’m not a doll collector, but your idea intrigued me. For a small sum I was able to assist the manufacture of this lady. I am proud to be an original “investor” and I am delighted with your product. Now let’s get some outfits available!
Robin –
Waited for this doll a long time but worth the wait! I gave her to my granddaughter and she loved her. I will be ordering another as I want to keep her for myself! So glad to have been able to have been a small part of her creation!
Gaetano –
PLEASE, HO BISOGNO DI LAMMILY! <3
Lizzie & Katie –
WOW!! My sister and I love her! I’m 14 and Katie is 9 and we just happen to have the BEST UNCLE EVER!!! He actually met Nicolay and got us his autograph and doll. She is beautiful. Her hair is soft and her body is articulated and ready for action! We have been looking forward to this since Uncle Brian told us about her and we are so happy to have our own. Our mom is so very happy about her creation, because she tries to help us to have balanced views of our bodies. Girls need to know what normal is. Normal isn’t ordinary; it’s beautiful. Thank you, Nickolay for your wonderful & unique creation.
Jean-Pierre –
I got the two dolls I had ordered today. They are perfect. I’m glad I supported your project right from the start. Great job. Now, all I have to do is buying some extra outfits.
Tausha –
So excited when this arrived a few days before my daughter’s 5th birthday. The doll is stunning and feels substantial. When she opened it she loved it, later she asked me her name. When I said ‘Lammily’ she asked how I knew that. ‘Well it says it on the box’. Then she said ‘but does it say my name is Lammily’ “well, no’ ‘okay I am going to name her *my daughter’s name* because she is me when I am all grown up.’ I later looked up that you even say here that Lammily is not the name of the doll, so my 5 year old got the concept immediately. Haha The only thing I wish were different is that the feet were tighter so that they do not detach so easily. Looking forward to your future projects.
zoe –
I am still waiting for mine to arrive. getting very excited 🙂
Maryam –
Got my doll in the mail, was planning to give her away as a gift but she’s staying with me! love her, hope to see more dolls with more diverse features.
Karin –
Welcome to Switzerland, Lammily! The doll looks great, I particularly like the hair. It really looks so much more realistic than other dolls. I can’t wait to give it to our 4-year-old for Christmas.
Rossanna –
I love this idea! I don’t even have children yet, but I definitely want this to be the first doll my child gets.
Sandra –
I got this beautiful doll yesterday and it’s so wonderful. It was nicely packed so it held nicely her whole trip to northern Europe. The painting is well done and the pictures on the booklet were artistically beautiful as well.
My hands got a little red from holding the newly opened doll but I doubt it’s anything serious. You might still want to check other user’s experiences for possible hazards. The feet are also a little loose compared to the other extremities but they’re not falling off anytime soon.
I’m really exited to see what this will do to the insecurity issues many kids face. The doll looks very playable and posable with it’s long hair and easy mobility, so i think many kids will enjoy playing with a doll like this.
Natalie –
Welcome Lammily, to Leeds, UK! I wanted to share with you my 14 year old daughter’s post on Facebook after receiving our doll last week.. “A few months ago, Mum helped to fund a kickstarted project called Lammily. It’s a new doll that has realistic proportions and looks much more normal than Barbie or any other stick-thin doll with ridiculously long legs and loads of make up on. Yesterday, our very own first edition Lammily doll arrived and I think she’s amazing. So many kids are growing up with the unrealistic expectations of Barbies and stunning models. Lammily have also released Lammily Marks, enabling kids to add plasters, bandages, spots and freckles to add to their dolls to highlight the features that make us who we are. Lammily shows we are unique and provides kids with a sense of individuality. Thank you Mum for this amazing doll. I’m sure this project has a bright future.” So pleased I helped support this- now I’m getting two more for my nieces!
Lammily –
Yes, we’ll be releasing sewing patterns as well!
Trish –
Just received this doll tonight in the mailbox on my way home from work. Really love this doll – she’s so beautiful, wholesome and youthful, strong, feminine, and realistic! I knew she was a hit right from the Kickstarter promo! I ordered mine right away.
I named her Lorrelle for the passport.
I’m also very delighted to see the fashions here (with accessories) that were designed for her – nice and feminine, and in “good taste” not trashy looking at all! Please keep her and her clothing designs in good taste. She doesn’t have to be a medical study doll. We just want a doll that we can dress and look at, a really, nice refreshing collector’s item – we don’t need to see anything more than how she is today.
Love the designs and colors, and the “travel around the world” idea gives her personality and makes her outfits very designer and chic. I was thinking of sewing up an outfit or two for her before I receive a fashion order from Lammily.
And yes, I like Jennifer’s suggestion (from the Dec. 3rd review) about clothing patterns for the doll – that would really be exciting if we could order sewing patterns for this doll! Would this be possible in the near future?
And a big “thank you!!” to Nickolay and your family for bringing us a really adorable doll!
Helen Castro –
Got her last week. My 20-year-old daughter was THRILLED to see that the doll looks so much like her. I hope you will make some friends of the Lammily Doll in the future. Keep up the good work!
Nancy –
I received my doll yesterday and she is BEAUTIFUL! I showed her to a friend and she wants one so I am ordering another one. I am 61 years old and I collect dolls. Lammily is a wonderful addition to my collection. Thank you!
Rafael Carbonell Font –
me interesa mucho pero me podrían decir cuanto es con todo y el envio
Rafael Carbonell Font –
I would like to see how my daughter changes perception of dolls as human beings
Gina –
I just got mine today and I love her! I’m 37 and I did a happy dance when I saw the box at the door this morning! The box was a little damaged but she is beautiful! Love her story too! Can’t wait to show her off and can’t wait to see what’s next from Lammily!
Carole Silvoy –
I was so eager to see Lammily after supporting her in the early days of the kick starter campaign, and saved her when she arrived so that I could open her with my mom who is 78 and a doll collector. We both just fell in love! I am so happy to share this very real doll with my Mom.
TINA –
REALLY WANTED LAMMILY AND IF I HAD HER SHE WOULD LOOK AWSOME
cassy.marshall –
She’s BEAUTIFUL! Well done!!! I’m ordering 2 more for my daughter’s half-sisters.
Penny –
I just received the 2 dolls I purchased for 2 of my great granddaughters. They are perfect. Real proportions, moveable legs and arms. The clothes are appropriate for a young girl. I am thrilled to be able to present these to them … a doll they can relate to as they grow older, not a tarted up fantasy Barbie.
L Redpath –
Just received my doll and I love it. I teach teenagers about body image and Photoshop use in the media as an art teacher and this doll will help so much in showing kids that being healthy is important. Body image is dictated by everyone you meet and to have a doll like this is so special. I am glad that I helped back this wonderful product. Beautifully packaged too.
Susan Taylor-Stacey –
Just received the doll today. She is better than I hoped she would be. I have named her Karakwenhawe, after my daughter, which in the Native Mohawk language means, Carrying the Sun. She will bring sunshine to all who get to own her.
Marina –
This is awesome, but where are the rainbow Lammilys? Surely average comes in all colors?
suzzoni –
cool
Ken –
Just found out about this doll and I was totally amazed by her. She is very realistic and made well. I am so glad that there is a doll that actually looks like a person. I sure hope that there will be more ethnic versions of her to come out and also maybe releasing a boy doll as well. Boys also go throught the same problems when it comes to the way their body looks. Skinny guys who want to look buff . I also agree with the person who mentioned that these dolls should also have gender characteristics as well. All in all I cant waite to order her!
Enid Mejias –
I just got my doll today this one is mine I’m ordering another for 10 yr old granddaughter. One thing she doesn’t come with underwear! Just a shirt and shorts and sneakers. Wish she had underwear!
Lucy Brownhall –
My daughter’s doll arrived today – she will get it for Christmas and I think she will love it. I do! Thanks.
Lisa –
We got our doll today, and she’s BEAUTIFUL. I can’t say enough how great I think this is, and I can’t wait to see new dolls that look like people from all over the world. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5, is because the hands and feet come off too easily. Her foot came off with her shoe, and her hand later came off while my daughter was playing with it (and not roughly). I will definitely buy more dolls, but I couldn’t give them to my younger nephews because the small hands and feet could be a choking hazard. Please, please come up with a fix for this, because small parts aside, this is an amazing product that I would proudly gift to any child that likes dolls. I am so pleased that my own daughters have a doll like this to play with, it would have made a difference to me if I had one when I was young!
Golda –
Love ittt.. this doll looks very athletic, unlike other dolls out in the counter. I felt like being a kid all over again. I always adored Barbie but Lamilly is a genius idea! The material is comparable with the original barbie from mattel, definitely a great product. I’m excited to see what’s coming next..
Caroline & Emma –
We love this doll! We named her Ellie. She is so pretty, dresses like a real girl, and is the most poseable doll we own. The packaging is so beautiful, too, that we kept it and plan to keep her clothes in it when they arrive. Thank you for making this doll!
P.S. Please make earrings! (stick-on?) and hair styling things.
strangeseraph –
Mine just arrived in the mail and I could not wait to open her. She is lovely and beautiful and so real. I have wanted a doll just like this forever and I’m so glad I backed the kickstarter for her. I will continue to support this line with my doll collecting in future!
Linda K Quinn –
Very happy – what a wonderful idea, and she and her message are beautiful. We supported this, inspired by our first grandaughter who is now 2. I wished I’d kept an eye on the the accessories and ordered them earlier. Doing so now!
Dawn –
I am so excited to buy this for my granddaughter. It makes me happy to think of future generations of girls playing with dolls that look like real women!
Cindy –
I love toys and collect dolls and as soon as I heard about the Kickstarter for Lammily, I knew I had to donate! She arrived yesterday, and she is gorgeous. Can’t wait to see where Lammily goes from here!
Susan Freudenthal –
Have been waiting for almost a year and now she’s here. Love it, love it, love it!!!
Katie B –
AMAZING! LOVE HER! This doll is very well made and WORTH every penny.
Michelle –
Doll is beautiful. I got a little emotional touching her and knowing I was a part of making this happen. I sincerely hope for nothing but the success of this company and doll — maybe one day she can teach Barbie a thing or two.
sharmistha –
Hi,
I am really fascinated by this doll., she is so pretty nd will be great for my collection..I just wonder how many days will it take to reach my address here at Qatar.. I have just ordered her today morning..any idea ??
Leah –
I LOVE my Lammily doll! I was so excited when she came in. She is so beautifully constructed and perfectly imperfect. I love that every part of her being is formed on the basis of imperfections and against symmetry. She is so much more beautiful than the stick dolls that I played with as a child. Thank you for such a beautiful and inspiring product!
Vesenia –
I got my beautiful Lammily doll 2 days ago. I was so touched and excited. I absolutely love her! She is so inspirational, i can’t wait till i have children, I’m totally getting them this doll. I also can’t wait for different race and gender Lammily. This doll is worth keeping in this world!
Jennie –
Beautiful, quality doll. Was moved to tears when she came today, because I could really have benefitted from having a doll like this as a child. So excited to start my kiddo out with a more realistic fashion doll!
Clare –
Lammily made it all the way to the UK in perfect condition. She’s amazing, a realistic doll at long last
Theresa –
She came in the mail yesterday!!! So pleased with her. Great work!
Zoe –
Just got my doll today!
I love the concept and I’m so happy with the purchase. I got her as part of the Kickstarter campaign because I wanted to support such a cool design and I’m so glad I did! Gorgeous doll, and the packaging is really cool–you guys should set up more stories and get a little book line going! I love the little pamphlet it comes with and I’m sure kids would love to read more about Lammily and her adventures.
Thank you for making such a cool, realistic doll. My only complaint is that I can’t go back in time and grow up with one!
Nicol –
I have just received the doll today and I am delighted with the quality and general look. I wanted a doll which was more representative of what women look like for my daughter to play with and this certainly fits that description ! Great toy.
Sue McKeever –
Having bought this Doll as a Kickstarter, I am so pleased to see such a great product come out of it. Please buy this for your daughters and sons so they can grow up with a healthy realistic body image. So proud that this great project has come to fruition.
patricia –
I’m so excited to bless my daughter with such an amazing doll. Thank You for introducing this and please make more in all nationalities:)
Arkady –
She just arrived this morning, and my 7-year-old watched excitedly as I opened her box. “Mummy, she looks just like a real girl!” I can firmly say she’s a real hit in this house! I’m looking forward to designing and sewing outfits for her. 🙂
Máyra –
Adorei !! Linda e com um corpo brasileiro !! Quero uma também !! 🙂
Jaana –
Came today, outer mailing box was difficult to open had to practically rip it apart to get to the inner package. Beautiful all around and not a dent for me!
Jennifer –
Great product! So happy to be a part of making this doll a reality. Long overdue! I may have been more excited than my daughter to get it in the mail today. Any chance of selling clothing patterns for the dolls?
Christina –
I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!
Karen –
I was so excited to see them, since I ordered 2. First, the packaging is beautifully done and the doll is everything she was reported to be. I am very pleased. I ordered these dolls last spring and wondered if I would really see them manufactured. One isformy granddaughter and one for me as I am a doll collector, most antiques of the finest kind. She fits the same parameters. I am hoping in the future that you will offer not only the doll to correct proportions but anatomically correct as well. As a nurse i see all kinds of bodies but the only dolls I have seen that are anatomically correct are ones used in child sex abuse investigations. I have always found it curious that dolls can have such fine attention to detail like in fingernails but leave the areas such as genitalia, breasts, and other sex characteristics such as axillary and pubic hair completely non existent or ambiguitous at best. Do others ,out there feel this way? Would any of you out there support this idea? If any company would break that barrier I feel this company would. Thanks for following through on your dreams in producing what ,I believe, will be considered a classic many years from now.
Indira –
Just got her today for my daughter! We’ve been waiting patiently for her and we are very, very excited!! Thank you for such a wonderful idea and a beautiful doll!!
Rebecca –
Just got my doll-I love her! She is beautiful. I will not only appreciate this is my own collection as the most unique and needed doll, but will use it as a therapist with my teen girls. I also want to make sure my own granddaughters get to have her as their ideal. I have followed this project for many months and I am so pleased with the final product. I also am proud to support such a worthy cause.
Roxane –
We invested in Lammily when it was just a dream and I am so proud we did. Our dolls arrived today and they are absolutely perfect. We are excited to see more and maybe a doll with short hair on a female. Thank you so much!
lisa m. –
I received my doll in the mail today and I think she’s just adorable! Thank you, Lammily family for bringing this to fruition! The project, the doll, and the fantastic and sorely needed concept must have been a great family endeavor! Thank you for working to make positive changes for our young girls and God Bless!
Caitlin –
I just got my Lammily doll today and I love her! I love her hair and the way she bends and stands up! She is the best doll I’ve ever had!
Lammily –
The elbows and knees bend as well! Check it out! 🙂
Donna –
I’m so glad I joined in the support for this doll. I received her today and she was well worth the wait. Her outfits are all lovely. I picture her dressed in a hoody and jeans. She is the typical girl next door type. I may have to make her some outfits myself since I like to sew.
aridenour2405 –
We just got her yesterday! She is so cool! I love that her elbows and knees move as well as her wrists and ankles. Her hair is so soft. I love that she has a belly button too! She definitely seems like the kind of doll that you could imagine her doing anything. I can’t wait to see what other dolls and accessories the Lammily line will come up with!
Lorraine Schwellinger –
Received our Lamilly doll this morning. She’s very neat. Loved her box – very sturdy, great artwork, great little story about travel. Love the detail on the molding. Nothing too overt but very ‘real’ shape. Her arms really do work like ball joints. My toddler immidiatly started playing with her and is very happy with her, too. She’s never taken to dolls, I think the realistic forms appeal to her. I kinda wish her elbows and knees moved but I’m not going to be making a fuss about that for the price – she’s a 5 star doll already. Very sturdy feeling. I’m not afraid of my daughter breaking her. We bought her through kick starter 🙂
fermi.leepet –
I got my doll yesterday- she’s AMAZING! The plastic bit around the hair was hard to get out- but I succeeded! I love the insert in the package, and how moveable the doll is. The shoulders are so fantastic- I’ve never had a doll that could move her arms this easily.
I wish I had this doll as a child, she would be my favorite- but it’s fine because she’s my favorite now!
I hope this doll gets even more popular and perhaps we can get an extreme sporty version with elbow and knee hinges.

Finally it is nice to see a toy that is realistic. It is important for all children to have realistic expectations of what their body type should be.

She’s beautiful. So glad I ordered two first editions – one will stay in the box and one will be played with. Thank you again, love her and can’t wait for more characters.

Just received our doll over the weekend. She came beautifully packaged. Was questioning whether I should give it to my two year old for her birthday, as I wanted to keep the doll in perfect condition, since it’s a first edition…so I just ordered a second one! 🙂 hoping this doll takes off!!

Over a year ago, when we knew of our baby, but before we knew if he was a boy or girl, I read about Lammily on Kickstarter. She was going to be a doll made to be the size, to scale, of an actual average 19 year old girl. I thought it was a great idea, and that, regardless of sex, if our child liked to play with dolls, I’d want him/her to have a doll with realistic proportions. SO I supported the idea and was promised a first edition doll if the campaign worked. Well I’m SO glad it did, and she’s here, and she’s just great! Her story is that she’s a world traveler, meant to travel to different countries and have adventures with you…love it! She’s both beautiful and real looking! I love her sensible clothes and shoes, her moving joints (ready for action!) AND her story! I can’t wait for my son and future children to come to an age where they can play with her!

We just received the doll today! It was a hit with my six year old. She has made the doll’s hair like hers, and is thrilled that she is a traveller. Thanks for a great product!

Just got her yesterday. Couldn’t wait to open her. Beautiful. My package came a little banged up and dented, but the doll was not damaged.
