We would like to thank all those who shared their stories with us. There were truly so many heartwarming and touching responses.
The winners of a free Lammily doll are:
Katie Bug
Katie is a 15-year-old aspiring singer that does a great deal within her community. She sings at nursing homes, volunteers at the local food bank, organizes toy drives, and always radiates positivity. In the past she was bullied for her weight, but she has persisted in spite of it. While she collects other fashion dolls, Lammily especially resonated with her. Katie touchingly said, “people are people and they are all special and unique.” Indeed, we are all incredibly different and deserve to be celebrated for that difference!
Megan Campbell
Megan nominated her daughter, Lilah to receive a Lammily doll. Lilah was born with trisomy 21 and underwent open-heart surgery at the age of 3 months. This surgery has left Lilah with a scar, but as Megan poignantly said, “Every girl is beautiful scars and all.” We entirely agree and wish Lilah all the best!
Miranda L. Lamb
Miranda will be giving a Lammily doll to one of her Girl Scout troop members. She described this young woman as selfless, thoughtful, and compassionate. Miranda eloquently spoke of how the scouts seek to “empower girls to be leaders in our community and to be proud of who we are as women.” She then went on to say, “Lammily reinforces all of the values that are vital to raising girls of courage, confidence, and character.” We are thrilled that we can give a doll to such a deserving young woman!
Amy Fair Lee
Amy is the mother of 4 children. Her oldest child and her two adopted children from China have a rare disability. This disability requires surgeries and costly medical supplies, making the holiday season a difficult one. Her daughter is the youngest, and Amy would love for her to have a Lammily doll to promote a healthy body image as she grows up.
Cindy Marsha
Cindy is a Weight Watchers Leader in Pennsylvania and will use her Lammily doll as a role model for promoting a realistic and healthy body image. She has found that many aspire to unrealistic goals, but that a doll like Lammily would demonstrate “that we don’t have to strive for the unattainable, we can be the best we can be and it’s ok…it’s wonderful.” Thank you Cindy for inspiring countless individuals to lead a healthy lifestyle!
Nichole Mondell
Nichole is a soldier and mother of two children. When she showed her daughter a photo of the Lammily doll, she found that the doll looks just like her mother. For a little girl and boy whose mother is travelling to serve our country, the doll will bring them great comfort for the times that Nichole is away. We admire Nichole’s bravery, thank her for her service to our country, and hope that her children enjoy playing with the doll together!
Congratulations everyone! I am so happy for u! I love my Lammily doll.
Great thing they won, but I guess I will die waiting for my pre-ordered Lammily to arrive T.T
